With its wide range of trim levels, the all-new 2020 RAV-4 has something for every budget. From the LE, starting around $27,000, to the brand-new high-end TRD Off-Road package topping off at just over $36,000, SUV buyers are raving over the RAV-4’s latest addition.
New for 2020, Toyota has now introduced a TRD Off-Road model to the RAV-4 lineup. Complete with logos along the interior and exterior, this model features a TRD-tuned suspension kit with 18-inch wheels as well as all-terrain tires for maximum handling and control. Toyota has also added SiriusXM satellite radio and Android Auto compatibility that comes standard for all trim levels, and the XLE model now comes standard with the power-adjustable seat. Mid-range Adventure trim buyers will gain a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, but the power liftgate will no longer be standard. Limited trims will receive premium JBL audio systems as standard as well.
Engine and Performance
The all new 2020 RAV-4 features an 8-speed, automatic transmission with a 203hp, 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine. Also, Toyota will now offer an all-wheel drive option contrary to their usual front wheel drive models depending on the trim level. Performance-wise, the new RAV-4 clocked a 0 to 60 m.p.h. in just 7.4 seconds, compared to 8.3 for the 2018 model, and 8.0 for the 2019 model.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Lower trim levels come standard with a 7.0-inch screen, while 8-inch screens start at the XLE level. All trim levels feature a 4G LTE mobile hotspot, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto. While higher level trims feature a navigation system, all trim levels come equipped with Scout GPS Link, which also allows the user to display nav from their phone directly to the dashboard screen.
